I know this forum isn't about addiction, but if I hadn't "let go and let God," I don't believe I would be present here or anywhere else. I was addicted to alcohol for many years and God always came second. The booze was always first because that's all I felt that helped me make it through my days.
Almost dying in a detox from withdrawals is when I finally and sincerely asked God for help. And He did, and He has ever since. I have grown quite a bit for the last 13+ sober years and have learned more and more through His Word of what life REALLY is all bout and also how to live in Him, in this world.
Where most feel that an addict is always in recovery, with God I have recovered, and am learning to live the Way He offers through His Word. There is no other way!
