How important is it to wear the Full Armor Of God from Eph. VI:X-XVII ??
Does being a Christian automatically mean that we have the Full Armor Of God on or is there more to it than that??
What does wearing His Armor really mean??

How important is it to wear the Full Armor Of God from Eph. VI:X-XVII ?? Think about it! armor protected the wearer of the impliments of war. How important? Vitale!Does being a Christian automatically mean that we have the Full Armor Of God on or is there more to it than that?? No. Why then would the writer say to PUT ON the full armor of God.
Paul says several times in his writtings to put on. Rom 13:12 The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and PUT ON the armor of light. ROM 13:14 But PUT ON the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. What does wearing His Armor really mean?? Putting on chirst is like enveloping yourself in Him.

Also, since I haven't been to church in a while, I am listening to teachings on-line. I am currently listening to 2 Cor. 10, the topic of Spiritual Warfare.
v3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses
Satan does exist. See how he is shown in Scripture as described in EZ 28:12ff, where he is like the king of Tyree.
As a Christian, we have a bulls eye on us. But we have the weapons that are for the destruction of fortresses.
The words Paul says. "We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ" is a fierce battle of ideas, and thoughts. A battle of minds.
Satan: He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44
He wants us to believe his lies.
He wants us to believe him...What is God like? "Is there a God? He is too busy to involve himself with you. What I do (good things) are enough to get me to heaven (I hope), well that what someone says." "You can't..." "God is not behind you on this." "You are unworthy."
Satan is a tempter. Temptations are lies.
God wants to give people eternal life for free but people refuse this. Why? People are deceived. Satan is the deceiver. Keep your Armor on! Take new ground for God!

Actually studying this The words Stand firm mean not to 'take' ground for God but to stay put and not give ground to the enemy. The war is won! The battle rages on. So Stand firm!

[shadow=red,left,300] I started to study this and got stuck on the first line, spent a day working on it and I know that it sums up the whole passage.
Eph 6:10 "Finally, be strong in the Lord in the strength of His might"
While doing a study. I researched Gods strength. WOW. I would still be studying. From the building of the foundation of this world to the knowledge he has of the number of hairs on our heads. To the wondrousness of the universe to the smallest microbes. Way down to the fact he cares what, when, how, where... all about me and everyone on this planet (some say and on other planets too). Holding everything in balance.
From what I have read if our planet was the slightest out of orbit or spun too slow or faster life wouldn't exist! Is. 40 doesn't do God justice but is a good read anyway.
With this kind of strength, we are to be strong in his strength. What a concept![/shadow]

The armor of God is your protection from the world, santan and the flesh. First we must have faith for with out faith we have no cornerstone to build the foundation. Putting on the armor is simply having faith in Christ, staying in the word so you have the knowledge to fight those who would try to defeat us, Pray with vigilence Prayer is your pathway for talking to God and asking for his protection through his Son Jesus Christ. This is your armor in a simplistic way of putting it, though it is a little more complicated because it takes great dedication.

wouldn't the full armor of God be like the Holy Spirit?

wouldn't the full armor of God be like the Holy Spirit? Good point! But in my opinion the Full Armor Of God is the practical application of the power of The Holy Ghost in our individual lives. It is specifically how we put on God's Might. Truth to girt our waste.. Righteousness to armor our heart.. Preparation Of The Gospel Of Peace to secure out feet.. Faith to shield us from attack.. Salvation to protect our mind.. The Word of God to defend and attack the enemy.. Prayer to know Gods will and to call for help... Alertness to watch and prepare for battle... So yes I agree that the Armor Of God is the Holy Ghost as the Holy Ghost is God like He is also Jesus Christ. But the checklist is a good mental image for us to understand in a practical way how to utilize Gods Power in a very practical way..
