Hey guys... I posted this on another board too... but I just thought there might be some folks over here who would appreciated it too!
I've been so blessed to have Rich and Dee play on this new project---RESHREDDED... It's sounding awesome... hope to have it out before the end of the year...
Rich and I are working on an "audio" interview... we'll get er out someday... But these are just a few thoughts he shared with me...perty cool...
An Interview with SAINT'S Richard Lynch about RESHREDDED
PB: Hey Rich, first off, thank you so much for the contribution you've made to the RESHEDDED project... and I'd like to pass thanks along to Dee too. It truly is a dream come true for me to be able to work with you guys like this.
RICH: t was truly an honor to work with you and serve in this capacity.
PB: So give me you overall impression of the RESHREDDED disc... who's gonna love this cd? I mean I'm pretty heavily influenced by the whole 80's scene... do you think fans of more modern metal genres would get into this?
RICH: I myself love all the "Pastor Brad" disc's!!! I think that anyone who is into technical excellence
is going to love this CD. Those who prefer Modern Metal will get there lead guitar fix as most Modern
Metal band choose not to put great lead work into their performance.
PB: Do you see any chance of a SAINT show in the mid-west? (LOL) ... and if so, I sure would love to get up there an jam with you guys live for a song or two... how fun would that be!?
RICH: That would totally Rock!!! and as you know we are less one guitarist so you would have to play the whole show.
After all you do owe me one...LOL
PB: Rich, I really want to say this... and it's not any kind of flattery thing at all... sincerely I have seen Christ in you and Dee. Your attitudes and genuine desire to just serve and be blessing on this project has really ministered to me. I know from the very beginning it's always been about more than just the music for SAINT... It's been all about exalting Jesus Christ. I know you haven't heard the final RESHREDDED cuts yet---I've actually worked a couple of little "speaking spots" into 2 or 3 of the songs--nothing long--just a couple of seconds here and there--little thoughts that just remind us that God is awesome and that His grace is so available for all who are willing to let Him come into their lives and be their Savior and Lord---So, beyond just being a great instrumental metal disc, how do you think God may use this disc touch some hearts?
RICH: I think that God can use this in a way to touch those who don't know Him or about His grace. You see I believe it's all about everyone working together as one body. We play the music that may relate to someone and Christian's who are like minded in this style can share it. This will open a huge door. When the Apostle Paul says he becomes a Jew to a Jew and a Gentile to a Gentile (not that he suggests participating in ungodly behavior). He before even mentioning Jesus or the gospel, seeks to gain the confidence of those around him, and this is a great way to do just that. Get the common ground, then lay the foundation and always
let the Lord lead.....
Blessings,
pb
