I miss Heath Ledger already. The teasers for this summer's Dark Knight have gotten me excited for it's release .....and now (for me at least) what seems to have the potential for a great film viewing experience will be both a happy and sad event.
I love movies ...always have. Almost as much as I love books. And I must admit with my eyes getting older I have taken the lazy way out and opted for movies more often than reading the last couple of years.
It follows then, that I would have my favorite movie actors...I like to collect dvds with these "special guys and gals" in any role even just a cameo!
I am saddened that the movies with Heath Ledger I collect from now on will only be the vintage ones the movie companies will print out to sell because he's dead and there won't be any new ones...ever!
I refuse to believe that this young man died because of certain roles he chose to play and that this was a punishment from on High. Really, I don't know if he repented for his sins or how he stood with Our Heavenly Father when he died. I see his death as a lesson of the danger in mixing prescription drugs into self made thingytails, going to more than one doctor (in more than one country) and the mindset that comes with being young and seemingly invincible. Also, I haven't heard that he was in therapy ....but I think he should have been given the toll he admitted the role of "the Joker" had on him.
When I was only 28, I hadn't gotten to the point where I felt death could reach me. (And I wasn't a beautiful, talented movie star either!!!) I was a nurse's aide with a 7 year old!
R.I.P. Heath...........I pray you are in heaven and I am praying for your loved one's comfort as well!
Would be interested in someone else's opinion! How 'bout it??? :
God Bless,katt
