I usually play an Ovation 12 String acoustic/electric during Mass on Saturday evenings. On Sunday however, I'm not able to plug into the system because its used for the bigger choir and other mikes. So I thought it best to bring my own amp. I have a Blueridge 6-string acoustic that I recently installed a nice sounding pickup into and use this for Sunday playing. It was a bit scary at first, drilling a hole into the end of a new guitar, but I was very careful and all came out well. The pickup I used is here... www.lrbaggs.com/html/products/systems_ibeam.shtmlIt offers excellent sound quality and really sounds like my guitar, but just louder. Nothing gets lost in sound quality with this pickup. It costs about $149.00 and is totally worth it. Just in case you needed to know.... Chris J

I have used the Fishman Matrix since 1997, and to this day, no other acoustic sounds as good as my Martin D16. I also had Mike Lull the main luthier in Washington who sets guitars for numerous bands, even Randy Jackson of American Idol, do the install, and added a bone nut and saddle too, to deepen the tones even more!
