With the release of our first full length CD back in '88, the self-titled Neon Cross, many people defined our sound in different ways, pretty much dependant on their favorite songs. But live, even when we were doing the glam rock thing, people agreed that the music was "Power Metal". What do you think?

" You mean the "Neon White Barren Cross"?" Don't even start with that. We were around back in '83. We were never a "sound alike" band and we spent most of our career in secular venues preaching the gospel in front of secular audiences. I think both of those "other" Cross bands are great, but we do not fit into that catagory at all, o.k.?
Just stopped by to offer an up-date on our last gig, the DVD release party for the Holy Soldier/UFTA vid. Had a great time, of note was a Souljourner, a group of young guys (drummer is only 16) who absolutely rawk. If you can imagine "Dream Theater meets Bush".... Another great band was Demize, cool sound and look (a little like us actually ) From what I understand the first band was awesome, but we were eating diner right then? Missed their whole thing. Donny Russell, the new Holy Soldier frontman did a fantastic job.

No doubt bro.. Neon Cross JAMS!!
Dave you have nothing to explain.. That dude thinks he is a Rock Star!!
What have you ever done sab to compare with the likes of Neon Cross?? Maybe I could crack some jokes myself!!! Talk about "SOUND ALIKE BANDS" what have you ever done musically? What do you call Doors tribute bands?? How original is that Sabb? Take your trash talk somewhere else.. This dude is a ledgend of Christian Metal, Mark! Forgive him for that Dave..
David I am totally honored that you are here dude!!

It's cool!! Me and Mark are cool too!!! Any-who! On a better note..... I will be playing my favorite song by you on this next weeks Full Armor Of God Show, bro! TORN! The show has been changing quit a bit to stay current (without selling out). It is my goal to introduce the ledgends like you to the younger croud.. I like to mix guys like you, The BIG T (Touniquet), Rob Rock, Mort, Barren Cross and Deliverance in with current prime real esate bands like The Showdown, Becoming The Archetype, Mayline & Sons of Disaster, Demon Hunter and Project 86. But I also like to get some Euro- Death and even a little Black Metal in too like Antestor, Crimson Moonlight and Slechtvalk too. It is hard to stay true to yourself, make everybody happy and NOT sell out!! But I try! LOL But The day you hear Relient K on the show is the day someone else does it!! lOL I hope you can get a chance to hear he show.

Checking in again. Just did another show with Souljourners. These kids are tight. They're sort of a Dream Theater meets Bush, or maybe Metalica meets Queens Ryche? Progressive yet heavy and gritty. We really dig'm. There all just kids too. I think the drummer is only 16.
Anyway, the show was great and we've got pix posted at the site. Feel free to drop in and check'm out. And thanx for the play. We really appreciate it!

I have heard alot about them but I haven't heard their stuff yet. Sounds good!! I sure would like to hear them some time! Won't be catching you at "The C-Stone" like I hoped to, I am moving to a new place and I won't be able to make the trip out. I had a press pass and everything, but just cant do it. I hope I will get to see you some day, though.
TY so much for posting here. I have been ill and busy packing, so I haven't been posting or promoting this forum much lately..
It is an honor to have a Christian Metal Ledgend like you coming around!!

As it turns out we will not be appearing at Cornerstone. However, there will be an "Up From The Ashes II" on September 2nd in LA. Those who can make it will be blessed! Neon Cross, Saint, Once Dead, Ultimatum...Final Axe (maybe with Robert Sweet...not sure yet), it gonna be great. If you're into metal this is the one you wanna come out for.

Well that is ussually par for the coarse at the Stone. Every year they wet my whistle with bands that I am dying to see, than there are always last minute cahnges. I know it is tough though, believe me I do, but it is disapointing.
For what ever it is worth, I am involved with a group that is trying to work out 3 US dates with MCM Music for a Rob Rock -Narnia. One in LA, one in Chicago and one in Florida. I am only speculating, but if this becomes a reality, what would be Neon Cross's availability for that show???
No promises, everyone reading this, don't start rumor, just pray for it to pan out!
Also bro, I owe you a big appology!! I played my favotrite Neon Cross tune on a show some weeks back and I realized I botched up the name.. For some reason I called "Now" the title track to "Torn", thinking for some bonehead reason that it was also called Torn! OOPPPSS! I am so sorry bro.. Perhaps you might like to do a Platinum Special on Neon Cross???

TY for posting here dude!
